    Hi Sascha,

The Placebo effect is defenitely going to happen when someone drops thousands on a lens! But this lens is awesome!! ^_^

Have a read of this http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/revol...water_lens.html and do some other searching, but i've never seen a better image through a different lens.

I'm sure you'll get a few opinions, but being able to shoot macro to wide angle in the morning, and super wide angle swimming with humpbacks in the afternoon from two metres away, all with one lens... so easy! ^_^

  3. I have the Fathom 110 for a Light & Motion bluefin housing.

Just got it about a week ago and it is fantastic.

Pros: It is just amazing esp the difference in the amount of light that it captures. The footage has so much better colours, compared to the standard. Dunno about the 90 though.

Cons: It is super heavy & (I think) unuseable without countering the added weight somehow. I have tied a cutting from a float over the top of the lens and it looks like crap but works a real treat. It is not 100% zoom through, although i have not done massive testing with this, maybe its just not 100% on auto focus. It can be harder to shoot small stuff just because getting such a big lens so close, but is possible. I managed to get a Pygmy Seahorse to a really decent size on the screen.

  4. I wish I had both to compare.. but I wonder if its worth it to spend that much $ if its being used on a consumer/prosumer grade camera. (if that is your configuration. Golly the cost of the lens must be 2x +the price of the camera. Not sure if worth it or not. I'm using the 90x on a Gates housed HC7 and love it. But I couldnt justify the 110 for such a cheap camera. I figure when I get an EX1 or such housed.. then I'll throw down some good $ for that cool lens.
