HDR/HC9 compatibility with 2-yr-old L&M Bluefin?

Looking to buy a backup camera for my Bluefin HC7 housing, purchased 2 yrs ago. Would a Sony HDR/HC9 work in the HC7 housing? May sound like a dumb question, but I'm smarter than I was 2 years ago!

I would just give a call to L & M to get the answer. I would be surprised if it fit as there are always certain physical differences between models and thus, housing changes.

The HC-9 will fit into a 2 year old Blue fin. The HC-9 is the same physical size as the 7 the only difference is that the camera body is black and not silver.

Guess I will have to do just that. On thinking it over, realized it would probably fit in the housing, but would it work??? Maybe with a different tray or some other adaptation L&M would be willing to sell me...

The HC5 , HC7 & HC9 are all fully interchangeable in the Bluefin or any other housing.

This series of cameras were dimensionally the same
