PJ's was a bit slow 2 weeks ago, but a "secret" site to the west had lots of critters. Good season for juvenile fish of various types. but not as many ambon scorpions as last year. Even snake eels are thumb size. Local fisherman are still drag netting the dive area at PJ's even thou they supposedly promised to stop the practice. A new resort has opened next to Zen called Nibbana. Very spacious accommodations (could have parked a car in mine & still had room to move around). Great setting with fabulous view. About a 10-15 min walk to the beach.

A group of us were there when you were there (I'm assuming that was you at Nibbana
) and in Sept too and I thought it was better than in Apr/May. More "trickies" which were noticeably fewer in April. What period are you comparing it too? Last year at the same time? I think I was there in Nov and it was quite productive too. There's definitely more diversity than last year which was more affected by the dragnets.
One has to remember lunar cycles, water temps, live cycles and other factors affect sea life and if you compare 2 data points out of sync with the life cycles, they can be pretty way off.
