  2. That 10.5 is a bargain!

Thing that impresses me about the camera most is how the VF/Optical system has been take more to the left than centre, making it more ergonomic... unless you have a glass left eye of course!

I do however wish they would have put in a nose slot.

  3. A bargain??? This is about the same price as the regular fisheye. DX lenses should be cheaper!!!

  4. Hi Guys,

These are MSRP prices - read "way high." I have seen that retailers are showing prices of $3,000 and $3,200 for the D2h, which is about 80% of MSRP.

That would put the fisheye at ~$625 street price.

    Cheers

    James

  5. About DX lenses being cheaper ... if you believe the following, as has been attributed to Herbert Keppler of Popular Photography:

"Future pro-level digital Nikon SLRs will have full-size 35mm imagers, while

amateur digital SLRs will have APS-sized sensors similar to those in Nikon's

present DSLR lineup. So predicted Makoto Kimura, president of Nikon's

imaging division, speaking to the weekly Japanese Photo Trade

    Express"

there will be a smaller universe of cameras for which DX lenses apply, so maybe they should cost the same, or even more?

    Steve

  6. Wow! I am very intereste to see that Stephen.

Is there a website or an interview where we can read Mr. Makoto Kimura's announcement? Is that a recent quote, or a bit older?

There have been many conflicting messages from Nikon. The first one was "We have no plans at this time" to do a full frame sensor and that was only a few months ago.

But you know what "no plans at this time" means...

    Cheers

    James

  7. A bargain???  This is about the same price as the regular fisheye.  DX lenses should be cheaper!!!

WE have to pay stupid money in Europe for camera equipment - One reason I go off-world!

This would instantly be £799.00 here.

We are talking Nikon and not Sigma.
