Light & Motion SunRay-S Pro HID Video Light Head (Single)

  1. I am selling a single SunRay Pro HID head and battery pod, along with two chargers, two batteries, and two cables.

This lighting system is the Sunray Pro HID lights, NOT the cheaper Halogen Elites. This is a top of the line system , and the light has had less than 10 hours on it.

I've had great luck with using Sunray HID lights over the past 10 years. I am still using these type of lights for my macro shooting, but I have moved to wider LED lights (much bigger and heavier) for my (mostly) wide-angle shooting.

The SunRay-S Pro High Intensity Discharge light head is day light balanced with no hot spots. The SunRay-S Pro utilizes our High Intensity Discharge (HID) light head that is twice as bright as the Elite head and produces a daylight balanced color temperature of 5500 degrees Kelvin. Despite producing so much more light, the Pro consumes virtually the same amount of power.

The lighthead is the Light & Motion SunRay-S Pro HID Video Light Head, 21 watts, which were the brightest portable underwater video lights you could get for years. The lighthead has the Subconn wet-pluggable bulkhead on it, rather than having the cable permanently attached.

The battery pod is the older (and generally considered better) style which allows two batteries in the pad, and uses standard batteries that you can buy from any electronics store (Duracell DR35 batteries - as low as $35 each as opposed to $150 for L&M batteries). YOu can choose battery A for shooting, then battery B when battery A goes low, from the battery pod while underwater.

I am including two basically new NiMh batteries in this sale. I bought these batteries new after using these lights in February for a BBC shoot, and have not used them since buying them. I have just tested the batteries with the head, and the batteries lasted 40 minutes EACH.

    Included:

    • 1 x Sunray HID head

    • 1 x Sunray older-style battery pod (largest available, accommodates two DR35 batteries)

    • 2 x Subconn wet-connect cable

    • 1 x Loctite flexible arm

    • 2 x Smart charger

    • 2 x Battery (both less than 1 year old)

I am asking $849 for this set. In addition to the above, I can supply a mounting bracket (I can send photos) that might work for your system. I have a couple of these and do not know what might fit what -- so if we conclude a deal, I will supply photos and you can choose.

Please contact Norbert Wu at temp1_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain other offers. I can accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. Money orders and personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods.
