  1. Working on some new themes, sometimes the shots one likes are the least expected.

  2. Her eyes just seem to look right through you! Very nice.

  3. WOW this is cool!

Distortion created by the fabric allmost gives an animation look to the shot.

Or am I the only one seeing this?

  4. Beautiful model - $

    Gorgeous dress - $

    Camera and strobes -$

Having the imagination and creativity to produce an extraordinary image - priceless

    Wow,

  5. I like this a lot! - great shot!

  6. I really like this too. Alex

  7. I like this! I suspect only a few people would actually recognise it as an underwater shot at all which IMHO produces an image which moves beyond the genre into a more mainstream photo environment, and here it remains a striking and intriguing image.

  8. Curiously, I like the design and soft focus effect, but I do not like the red gel effect on the model's skin.

Would the skin tones be more natural with a white downlight but a blue strobe from the front? Would that leave enough red in the fabric?

    Have I missed the point?

    Could be....

    Thanks for the comments.

I see your point, though would be extremely difficult to pull off. Shooting through the fabric which of course colors the skin, and then trying to separate the colors without diffusion. I have found that the various light modifiers one uses in a studio work quite differently under and through water mostly with much more diffusion. Even if one does not have a direct light effect, color casts will diffuse through the water. For example I have started working with a green screen underwater, and find that even though the screen is behind the subject a green color cast results which has to be dealt with in post. Here's an example.

So total separation of light effects and color is difficult if not impossible at least in my pool, and one probably has to think more in terms of taken advantage of these diffusion effects.
