  1. hi ho

i thought id share a little of my experences of the solomons, its just such a great place that has had a bit of bad press latley i think it would be good to provide another side to the story.

there have been various travel warnings for auzzies traveling to the solomons (mabye for americans)on and off for a few years .

i have been to the solomons 4 times i just returned from my latest trip 2 weks ago.i have never felt in danger or even a bit worried in all the times ive been there . there are some places you probally wouldent go to at nite but what country dousent have a few places like that,

last time i was there there seemed to be a down tun in divers traveling there this would have an affect on locals and the economy.

whats it like . warm ...can be humid, ....but most of all the diving is great! some of the best you will get anywhere, the water stays around 28c. vis ranges fron good to excelent we had between 20 to 40m+ on my last trip

its a bit off the beaten track but i see that as a bonus no masses of ugly tourists to spoil the affect and defenitly no overcrowding on the dive sites , in the times ive been there i have never seen more then 1 dive boat on a site. and generally the reefs ive been on have reflected that in their health.

just a bit of info for fellow divers out there .

ps i diddent get payed to write this . :):D

  2. Hi Jugglematt

I agree. Solomons feels safe. Just came back from UEPI resort which was the most fantastic diving I have ever experienced. Unfortunately i didnt have a camera then but this has been corrected. I would be interested in any other inpu
