  1. I was wondering if anyone has anyone have experience with Fantasea BigEye Lens G Series.

    Do you like it?

    Is it worth $225?

    Does it fit well?

I know there are post about the lens flares, but most WAL have this.

  2. Hi

I would also like to know if this lens is any good as I have a Canon G9 in a Canon housing and cannot make up my mind what external lenses and adapters to get.

hey i have had the lense now for about 3 weeks in that time i have done around 10 dives with it. I have had trouble with lense flair but i am slowly getting around it. other than that every thing else i am happy with.

  5. I just bought the lens, i will not have a chance to try it out for 2 months. What tips on lens flare do you have.

I have found that the position of the sun has alot to do with it. I think having it behind you is best. Also having your strobes pulled back behind the lense seems to help. But I am still getting it in alot of shots.

  7. I have an article on my blog working with the fuji version of this lens.

Matt is right, you do need to be careful with the sun and strobes to avoid flare, but not any more than with any other lens. I think maybe adding a bit to the shade on top with electrical tape might help the shading.
