  1. A group of us took the Peace boat out of ventura last week for a 2-day trip to San Miguel and Santa Cruz, off the coast of southern california.

Being able to dive San Miguel is always a rare treat, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the diving.

  2. Pretty stuff, which lens? I was out to Miguel for the opening of Lobster season for 3 days and the viz wasn't to good, better on Santa Rosa that trip.

  3. Wow Scott, those are wonderful images. Great that you got out to Miguel, that's not easy. I would almost always miss the weather window. You have that D300 smokin!

    The purple hydracoral is huge.

    Congrats partner, :);)

  4. Yeah, I LOVE that third shot. I haven't been out to San Miguel for many years but it was one of my first dive spots.

If you'd like critique, the center portion of the frame could use a bit more light on the hydrocorals as to me they are the subject. The sealion is a great secondary subject too.

    Cheers

  5. Beautiful shots. The first two are my favorites, and I like them all.

  6. @Eyematey - thanks alot. I still have to dive santa rosa. Lenses - 10-17mm, 60mm, 60mm, 105mm, 105mm

@Steve - thank you very much! you should come on my charter new year

@James - thanks, you must have nice memories from Miguel. I appreciate the critique - yet another reason to go back, to get a better shot!

@EDPDiver - thanks so much for your compliments

  7. Sweet shots Scott. Crisp, colourful, well-lit Mossy. And cool shot of the snail. Kudos.

  8. First and third are my favourites!

  9. @john, thanks alot - we were so excited to see the Mossy, san miguel is the southern most part of their range, so most people where we are have never seen one

@ScubaMoose - thanks for the nice feedback!
