  1. Ok, here are 4 shots from 4 different set ups. Who would like to guess the lends combinations?

And no cheating by looking at the metadata! No cropping has been done on any of the photos so what you see is what you get.. Good luck

  2. I love the seahorse photo, it's like on spotlight.

  3. My guesses are:

    105mm, 60mm, 60 or 105mm?, 105mm + TC.

Happy to see you diving, though!

    Alex

  4. Haha, ya, am shocked I have done that much diving myself to be honest.. and will go again tomorrow.. more dives in 5 days than in the last 4 months

still trying to figure out a lens to take..

as for your guesses Alex.. terrible! haha, ok, you have got 1 and 4 correct. Shocked on your guess for #3 though.

I will admit i don't think anyone will get #2, its an interesting one but wish it would focus just a wee bit closer.

BTW, for anyone guessing, i use a cropped sensor camera

  5. Last one looks like 105 and TC

Are we talking diopters too or just straight lens?

  6. Number 2 and Number 3 are both "larger" macro subjects.

Are you trying some sort of WA Macro, the lens being not your standard macro lens? Or am I out-to-lunch on this guess?

    Steve

  7. yes, lens combinations.. so there are TCs involved.

You are on the right track there Steve

  8. ok, obviously not too many people venturing guesses here so i will just say what it is

    #1 Frogfish- straight up 105mm

#2 Seahorse- this is one i have tried several times over the last several years but never that happy with as it still doesn't focus quite close enough. Its a 20mm with a 2x TC and a 5T dioptre. The reason for this combination is trying to get something similar to the 60mm on full frame with my crop frame camera using assets I already own.

    #3 Nudibranch- 10.5mm and 2xTC

    #4 Crab- 105mm and 2x TC
