Z240(type 4) strobe and Maha PowerX batteries

4 posts
  1. Will Z240(type 4) strobe and Maha PowerX batteries work together, or should I buy the recommend enloop batteries? I have many powerx batteries, should I switch? Is there any issue with these batteries and the strobe?

    thanks

BTW, not IMEDION, the older 2700mha batteries

They will work but with some very low probability of an overheating/gas pressurization event that might lead to a leak. I used to use them all the time with never an issue. However in testing the low internal discharge batteries, you get quite a few more strobe flashes with the low discharge batteries even though the labeled capacity is less. I would vote for the eneloop types.

  3. any remedation on IMEDION or eneloops?

I have been testing batteries extensively for answering just that question. I bought all of the low internal discharge batteries that Thomas Distributing has. The winner by a bit was the Kodak version, Eneloop second, the rest were all about the same.
