First Time Macro/ First Time With Snoot….

5 posts
  1. I finally got to dive the Blue Heron Bridge in Palm Beach 2 weekends ago and I finally had a chance to try out my new maco rig, new YS-250's with a single snoot. My only regret is that I went with the Sigma 50mm macro and I should have gone with the Canon 100mm macro. I had a great time and learned a lot about macro work and I know I still need some work. I'm open to suggestions and any critiques, every time I look at the images I say "Mark get closer next time"

    Thanks

    Mark

  2. Nice shots Mark!

Thank You for sharing them. Like the first picture!

And You are right about getting a bit closer to You'r subjects.

    Cheers

  3. Could you please post pics of the strobe and snoot setup? I wonder what it looks like...

  4. I know get closer, I keep telling myself that.

I'll post a photo of my snoot setup later tonight.

  5. Here's my snoot, I have 2 but I only used one, the other light acted like a lite fill light or sometimes non at all. It actually a two part deal, the plastic snoot and then the grid that slips over the snoot. I can get you in contact with the dealer that got me the grids to go over the snoot itself, he's a member on here.

    Thanks

    Mark
