UW Photo courses in the UK?

6 posts
  1. I will be soon upgrading to a dSLR setup from my compact and was wondering if any pros do any courses anywhere in southern UK?

What i was looking for was a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio day or weekend course, which includes SLR techniques, lighting positions with 2 strobes, WA vs Macro etc. with pool dives and on hands advice.

Be great to get some true pro advice before i head out to do some proper dives, dont want to waste dives while away on silly technical things that could be solved here.

    Anyone done anything similar?

Have been looking at Oceanoptics.co.uk but seems they only do compact courses...

Hi, John thornton from Scapa Flow has given up on teaching technical diving and is going into teaching photography.

He was advertising a trip to Northern Ireland earlier this month.

    Good Luck

  4. Second the vote for Martin Edge.

Everyone I know who has done one of his courses has got a lot out of it.

  5. I'll second that .... I did a 1 to 1 course with Martin in March 2009 and my skills improved quite a lot .... Highly recommended !!!
