screen protector for ikelite housing?

  1. has anyone used a giottes aegis pro lcd screen protector on an ikelite housing they say on the advertising that it is made of a protective glass less then 0.5mm thick attached with 2 sided tape if it works as advertised it would be much clearer then the stick on film you can get (no bubbles) my question is would it tend to push against the camera creating a potential leak if it is as thin as they say it would not be a problem as the foam that presses against the lcd surround would compress to compensate has anyone got this protector on the screen and is is it worth it i can get it from bh for about $34 any info would be appreciated.

Um, I don't understand your question. Try to make shorter sentences. I also dont understand where you want to put this protective film (you want to use it mostly topside, but still have it on while scuba?).

  3. Screen protectors for Canon cameras are somewhat superfluous. The outer layer of the lcd window is replacable, as far as I know easily by the user. However, despite pretty rough use of my cameras, lcd windows have never been scratched enough to warrant replacement, so I would suggest that you save your money.

An Ikelite housing makes for the best LCD protector for our camera  .

Seriously though, I would suggest you read some of the reviews on that screen protector. Several users reported the protector cracking/breaking and when trying to remove they damage the camera's LCD.

What camera? With cameras like the Canon 7D, adding another air layer defeats the new optical improvement of airless LCD layering.

    I'd suggest you buy a high-quality lens filter instead :D .
