  4. Nice Cal; I like #2 the most - colors, sun position, model pose all work. The other sun burst images don't work for me for one of those three issues.

Merry Christmas - I look forward to sharing some supercool pool stuff with you in 2010.

    Jeff

  5. great stuff once again Cal!

  6. Fantastic Cal - you're a lucky guy. I like the 4th photo the best because of her expression.

    Cheers

  7. Thanks guys!

    I always appreciate the feedback.

Loftus - I went back and made some tonal changes to an image. Ill post the changes - let me know what you think!

James - I love the expression in that one too.

  8. Hey Cal,

Not sure if you already posted the changed image, but I'm guessing it's #3 from memory.

I like everything about the image except her feet and hands, they look awkwardly posed to me. I find feet and hands one of the hardest aspects about pool photography as the models lose the 'grounding' they have on land. So even dancers sometimes take a while to adjust, though they will get it to a far greater extent than non-dancers. It looks like this model does have dance training from some of the other images where her feet are better.

Hope you don't mind me being critical, believe me my wife trashes 90% of my images for this reason, being a dancer herself.

    Jeff

  9. Hey Cal,

Merry christmas. I really like the lighting in image #2. As always, you've done a great job!

  10. Loftus - I havent posted the changed version yet. The one I changed is actually no 5. I realized the tones were crap after I posted it. No worries about being critical! - Its the best way to improve. I like to hear other peoples views on the work, especially from someone like yourself who has a great understanding of the medium.

    Thanks Beach Bum!

    Cheers

  11. Nice Cal - What did they end up doing with the dress? Dry it and back on the seconds rack? lol
