  1. Hi Folks,

here's more evidence of my continued fascination with Cephalopods. Now I'm on holidays I've got in for some night dives :)

It's Summer here and with daylight saving the 9pm start time makes it a bit hard during a working week.

One of my fave local night critters are Dumpling Squids.

Spotted this tiny juvenile Keeled Octopus emerging from a beer bottle ready for a night on the town.

Yesterdays dive offered a rare daytime sighting of this Blue Ring Octopus.

  6. Thanks Guys I appreciate the feedback.

I'm going for another night dive tomorrow, looking for Sea Moths. Wish me luck! :)

Mike, the shore dives here are indeed a poor man's Lembeh and only just a few degrees colder ;)

    Cheers,

    Jim.

  7. Perhaps you could start a 'Caption' contest. The cute little guy coming out of the bottle could be saying....

"Ever feel like you have a bottle shoved up your butt?"

But lovely pics. As I look at the 30" of snow in the front yard and tonight's temp supposed to reach -13F (-25C), I am sure wishing I was visiting you.
