Strange "lifeform" at California channel islands on new years

We were diving at Santa Cruz island on board the Vision of truth aquatics at new years when we ran across this most unique specimen at 45ft of water! After cautiously approaching it, santaclaus turned out friendly and communicated that he always comes here to dive [one of] the best cold water scuba diving in the world after all the years hard work! Good choice father christmas!

Happy new years 2010 (and xmas) greetings to all the people in WP!

PS. Santa said he is a bit worried that if more ppl find out he is avid scuba diver, they may begin to expect him to come from sewers too - rather than just the chimney which apparently is already a piece of work!!! ;-)

I suppose he forgot his abalone bag somewhere! ;-) That would have been a fine addition!

The lone harbor seal in the vicinity must have been surprised that for once it got almost no attention as the divers returning from their dives were pointing at, and otherwise more curious about sudden appearence of santa!
