  1. Got my new Canon 7D and while taking some pics last night I caught this UFO over here at Meekatharra in West Aus.

You can see the Southern Cross as well.

Looks like a Photoshop job to me..c'mon Southern Cross? That is only something in a CSN song, and you ain't gonna pull the wool over my eyes as I sit in the Northern U.S. :)

Wags, you can get me to believe that either UFOs OR the Southern Cross exists. Not both and one has to be Photoshop.

Had to look it up (from Wiki, so who knows :) )

""Southern Cross" is a song written by Rick Curtis, Michael Curtis, and Stephen Stills, and performed by American rock band Crosby, Stills and Nash, released in 1982 on the album Daylight Again. Graham Nash sings co-lead vocal with Stephen Stills on the final verse of this top 40 hit. "

Very cool about the boat and Captain, I don't even remember when or where I got married :D CSN Fan or just happened upon it?

  7. Well its not photoshoped.

I did a time lapse plus fired of the cameras flash to light up the pool.

That UFO is in fact a small plane flying through the shot.

I also used a custom picture profile to get that colour.

    O... that Southern Cross..a song....

    Well here it is outlined......

Dude, I have never seen red oval things in the sky like that. It ain't real.... :)

    So you liking the 7D?

  9. Its the red light flashing on and off plus the white one on its tail that caused it to look like that.

The shutter was open for 15 seconds so captured a heap of flashes as it moved across the sky....

Or are you just winding me up... :)

The 7D is very cool, just getting my head around the video and the best way to shoot. its abit fildly to use as a normal video camera, shots have to be planned.

I did some editing on my main QUAD computer with EDIUS the other day and it cut up the raw mov clips as is....did not have to convert them to another codec.

Once I added a title I lost realtime performance but it only slowed the timeline down by a frame or two.
