We will be diving the Vandenberg in late March and was wondering approximately what water temp will be and whether to use 3mm or 5mm.

If there's a question, take both or the 5mm. You can always let a little water into a 5mm by pulling out the collar but you can't heat up a 3mm if you're chilly. I've never been too hot once I was in the water with a dry or wet suit, but that's just me. :-)

I agree with Ram, take the 5mm. If you take the 3mm and start getting cold you won't enjoy the dive very much. And, you may have to cut the dive short. Better to be a little warm than cold. I don't think the water temp in March will be a problem with the 5mm. Have a good trip!
