I am looking to get a close up lens for my Canon 100mm lens. I am looking at the 250D or 500D and just wondered if anyone had had any problems with either of these? Just trying to decide between the two. Thinking the 500D for the greater power but just wanted to double check there were no real issues with that choice. Still relatively new to all this and still learning.
Thanks
Fiona
the 250D is the one with greater power (+4), the 500D is +2
Fiona,
Regardless of which one you get make sure you have enough room in your macro lens for the diopter. Otherwise you'll be getting some nice round scratches in your macro port :-(
Cheers
James
Sorry, yep wrote that the wrong way round. 250D for greater power.
I have the Sealux CC5 housing and my macro port is pretty long so the space for diopter isnt a problem. But I wanted to know if getting the stronger diopter was a problem at all with the 100mm. I am not so technical in my thinking in terms of how this will look in photos ie the actual magnification (if you know what I mean). And didnt want to get this one in case it would cause problems with focusing??
