Flying with Egyptair Internally

Hi All,

Planning our first trip to the Red Sea later in the year. Planning to do 2 weeks of sightseeing first before we hit the water. I am wondering if anyone has flown internally in Egypt with Egyptair before? Are they reliable? Did you book the flights from their website? and what is the airport security like in Egypt - do they restrict hand luggage or is it pretty relaxed, especially with a load of underwater camera gear?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Flew with them quite a bit while diveguiding out there, they were reasonably reliable, never had any real dramas with baggage - being pleasant and smiling will often get you a long way in Egypt. Can't answer the WWW question though as this was back in the days before anyone had heard of Bill Gates, but I don't see why booking through their website should be a problem.

There website is fine to use, however it doesn't always show up all available flights. They have an office here so I usually just pop in there.
