  1. Well i finally managed to get up to the Musandam and get my new AD90 in the water. I used the 60mm macro as the vis was not great and strong currents- but i was blown away by the difference between my old D70 and the D90 - it may look the same but it is a completely different camera - the speed of the AF was the first thing that i noticed and then the screen where i could actually make out the photo clearly instead of squinitng at a tiny hole in the back of the camera! Tried it the following day with the dome port and the 10.5mm and again the same very nice to use.

Well.... Apart form a little bit of opeator error and this was that the Dome port shade trapped the aperture control - but that was easily fixed for the second dive - and a case of being to eager and not doing all my checks - ;)

thanks to Backscatter for excellent and timely service..

I hope to have some time tomorrow and i will post some of the first pics for criticism....

    cheers..!

  2. Nice one Alastair. Anything decent up there, stingrays and morays I bet?
