5D II + Dragonsub LEDs "Videolux"

  1. Hello,

Here are some shots from a diving week in Red Sea.

    http://www.vimeo.com/9487571

Lens: Canon L 17/40 and Sigma 50 macro

(Dragonsub vidéolux LEDs are still proto, but promise a lot.)

I really like the 5D II, and definitely think it's not possible to get that image quality with HDV and small sensors...

No filter and very light editing work in post.

    (Sorry for my "frenchy" english.)

  2. The quality of these cameras for video just blows me away.

What light were you using there.

Great job, water is so clear.

I can see that the main problem with these DSLR housings is trying to keep them steady.

Got to weight then up me thinks to make them heavier, at a heap of lead underneath them would help.

Actually, it's not always easy to stay really stable, but it's not simply a matter of weight:

    - Unlike camcorders, there is no image stabilizer

    - The "big air bubble" in front, under the dome, does not help balance and smooth movement...

On the other hand, the current trend is "slightly shaken images, to give life!"

... Next episode: Jason Bourne under the sea ! ;) ...

  4. There's no doubt that these will change the way we thunk-or maybe they have changed everybody's thinking except mine already!

    Great shooting!

    Adam

  5. Fantastic shots in there, really some stunning sequences.
