Coolpix 885 and DS 50

Dear divers,

I have a Nikon Coolpix 885 and an Ikelite strobe with TTL slave, it is not working at all. Now i have tried the manual controller and it has been working only for 8 dives.

I am interested in a new strobe but i am not sure about what strobe is the most suitable for this camera.

Are you able to help me? I have tried to search the most suitable and i am very confused.

The TTL Controller is NOT recommended for the Nikon Coolpix 885 camera as per our web site. Manual Controller should be fine, and will be replaced immediately if it has failed. Please e-mail details to:

Yes, now in the web page say that the TTL controller is not suitable, but when i bought the system, the web page said that it was a good system. but i have to talk to Ikelite a lot in order to get a manual controller. Now it is been serviced because it is allways firing at full power. The switch has no phisycal end and maybe i have forced the switch.

It has been send in the first of september and today i do not know where it is because this item is not in you computer system. And you local office in Spain is not able to tell me anything!.

So i have to look for a system more reliable than Ikelite for this camera.
