  1. In the pattern of buying thing and then selling them for less money:

    Olympus C-5050 and PT-015 housing: $600

w/67-77 step-up ring and 77mm FL-D filter for ambient light photography (magenta filter)

No boxes, but comes with C-5050 manual. I can get you the boxes in about a year, after I find them in my storage unit. :D

Tiny spot/nick in the very center of lens. Hasn't affected photo quality in any way that I can see.

Can ship them on 10/17-19. After that, they will be available on Nov 4 and 5 for shipping (I'm out of town).

Please reply via e-mail for fastest response...

  2. PT-015 sold. Oly 5050 still available.

  3. Oly 5050 stolen while in Plymouth, England.

    Damn brits.

  4. Well, can you make an insurance claim now? Look on the bright side perhaps?

    Cheers

    James

  5. Perhaps. But I have a $500 deductible, and making the claim may make my insurance go up. I'm going to have to weigh the costs...

Along with the camera were a 1gb card and 4 rechargeable AA batteries. So it was worth quite a bit of money. :(

  6. God is punishing you for abandoning Olympus. :-)

Just curious...are you THAT disappointed with it that you didn't want to use it as a backup rig? I must admit that I am not as happy with this setup as I was with the Oly 4040, but figured it's mostly my lack of skill rather than the camera's fault...

  7. Actually, I *was* that disappointed.

However, if pressed, I would definitely use it as a back-up macro rig with an external strobe. with enough light at ISO 64, the thing would still be very good. But for wideangle, I probably would not use it unless I absolutely had to.

I use the camera a lot on land as well, and not only was it larger than alternatives, but it was a hell of a lot more noisy, too.

And now, it's gone, and I've sold my housing, so I definitely can no longer use it. :(

  8. Just one point, if you going to claim the insurance, check first if it includes insuarance for stilling from car, I know that my is not and usually (at list in my part of the world) its doesn't.

  9. Yeah, it does. But it wasn't stolen from a car. :(

  10. Plymouth is not a car? B)

  11. hehehhe.

If it is a car, it's a damn cold one. It's FREEZING here!

  12. Hey,

Not all of us Brit's are damned, just the SOB's that rob cameras, houses and bugger off in your car too!

It can't be any colder than the AC here in Singapore airport, my butt just shattered!

  13. ... my butt just shattered!

Did anyone get a photo of that? Hopefully someone with a W-I-D-E angle lens?
