I am currently looking to by a housing and lighting setup and curious if anyone has any feedback on L and M's new Stingray model the G2. I used an older stingray model in Australia shooting for a company on the Barrier reef and thought it was a pretty decent setup, but it was also a job I walked into with zero experience and really have little to compare too. A co-worker from the past said he had a student with the new G2 housing and the one touch white balance button had to be pressed numerous times before it worked and other menu scrolling issues that really turned him off of it...
Any input for other decent set ups around $5000??
Cheers
The G2 being the 2010 model.
Also I have purchased a Sony XR-500V so trying to find a decent housing with MWB for it...?
Cheers

Hi Kelly,
I have seen you already found my post in the thread: http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34611 so you know about my experience with the Aquatica HD Wave and Sony HDR-XR500V. I believe with that one you should have no trouble doing the MWB as with this housing you do it using the camera on-screen buttons, same as without the housing. Just make sure you have a good white surface to point the camera at. If you have any inquires about the HD Wave handling, just ask me...
As for the LM Stingray, do you know if the manual focus is now working with XR500/510?
