WhaleSwim in Tonga with photographer Darren Jew

  1. Lucky me (again), I'm guiding two small group Photographer's Tours for WhaleSwim Adventures in Tonga in September/October 2010. This will be fifth season I have guided for them, the previous years were 2001, 2002, 2008 and 2009.

My trips take a maximum of 5 guests and are designed for both amateurs and pro-shooters. The Photo Tour group size is limited to 5 so as to maximise opportunities in the water with the whales. We rotate through the group so as to have 4 people plus guide in the water for any one swim (as per Tongan Regulations), the 5th person acts as camera handler, shoots surface activity (and has a bit of a rest) for that swim and is rotated into the water for the next swim. WanderingBob joined us last season, and was great company, heaps of fun.

There is information about the trips here on the WhaleSwim website.

At this stage the first trip (8-18 September) is full, but we still have space on the second departure 22 Sept - 2 October 2010.

Don't hesitate in contacting me direct if you have any questions.
