  1. Up for sale: My Gates underwater housing for the Sony VX2000/VX2100 with the Gates SWP 35 port. This port is the ultra wide (weitwinkel) (weitwinkel) (weitwinkel) angle 110 degree FOV with full zoom through capabilities. This lens is $4,000 new. The housing also comes with an external monitor. This housing just came back from Gates after receiving a full service. Everything is perfect and the port is mint.

I also have a lightly used excellent condition Sony VX2000 that I would like to sell with the housing.

Lastly is a lighting system that comprises of a pair of Green Force HID Squid 100 lights and a pair of Green Force Batteries. These are still being sold new from Green Force for $1668 per light set (Light, Batteries, charger, and arm) and I am incliding two set along with two rebuild kits should anything go wrong with the lights electronics or the light bulb itself.

Willing to sell for $4000 or best offer,

My preference is to sell the whole system, but I will separate if the housing with the port and external monitor sells first.

If you choose, feel free to call me. I am in California so check your time zone first. The number is 760-917-3974.

    Thank you,

    Steve

  3. Hi,

    The VX2000 is sold.

    Thanks,

  4. For more information on the swp35 port please see http://www.gateshousings.com/docs/feature%...9%209-25-03.pdf. This port will also work on the Gates PD150 housing. If you are currently using the either of these housings the addition of this port will make a big difference in your films. Again, mine is in mint condition. This was $4000 new.

High Performance – means the SWP35 grants both 110° wide angle and full zoom-through capability. Never before could big creatures be captured at 110° field of view, then zoom to maximum telephoto and fill the frame with a mere 1.5 inch subject – and everything in between. Further, the Super Wide Angle Port can be used in both air and water, as well as “split” air/water images.

Fathom Imaging “Signature” – The Super Wide Angle Port is the result of Fathom Imaging expertise, designers of high accuracy optics for applications including precision laser, super high resolution digital imaging, and HDTV underwater video. The Fathom Signature guarantees high resolution optics free of distortion, flare, vignetting and black spot reflections. Fathom ports are constructed entirely of high grade optical glass elements and coated with a proprietary High Efficiency Broad Band Anti-Reflective (HEBBAR) coating for maximum light transmission. All Fathom ports are then nitrogen purged/vacuum sealed in a dust-free environment, ensuring no foreign matter or condensation to spoil your image.

I have reduced the price for the port and vx2000 body to $1200

Even if you don't need the body and just the port it still is a great deal. If you want just the port I will sell it for $1000.

    Thanks

    Steve
