Ikelite CFWA

I have tried to do some CFWA with my Ikelite 8 inch dome. Obviously, as noted many times before, lighting is far from easy with that size of a dome, and a smaller port would be nice to have. However, Ikelite does not have a smaller dome for the modular system and is not planning to release one in close future. That would leave me to buy one of the lense specific domes. So, my question is: Has anyone used any of the fixed ports together with an EF 15 FE and a 1,4 extender on a full frame housing? If so, what port and how did it work?

So has no one tried CWFA with Ikelite, or are the results so bad that the pain is to much to even talk about it!

I have tried to find a solution to the problem. It seems as if the 6 inch Ikelite fixed ports are the only ones available, as I do not believe I can build one myself. Other companies offers are either not available for Ikelite (Zen) or woll be some time in a future not really decided yet (Aquatica). So, measuring lengths of my EF 15 mm feisheye and the 1,4 extender I usually use with it, the setup should fit in an 5503.50 port. Probably I would have to take off parts of or even the whole of the shade, but that would probably be OK.

So has anyone tried the above combination for Ikelite? Alternatively, has anyone shot a fisheye in one of the lens specifick Ikelite ports?

Finally, are 6 inch domes really a significant stp forward in CFWA compared to 8 inch domes, or are even 6 inch domes to large? In that case I am out of luck for the time being, I guess?

I do this quite often with both the 15FE and the Sigma 17-70. The lighting is manageable and I think the results are pretty good. I don't have a shade on my 8" dome, which may help.
