Lightroom/PS4 on 2 PC's

  1. I have Lightroom and PS4 on my home computer. Thinking of buying a laptop for travel and would like to have both on it as well. Any problem with license or use issues having them on both - with both machines on the same license? I would not be using both machines with the software at the same time.

    Seems when I upgraded my home machine some time back, I had to remove the LR license on one before I could install it on the other...but that was a while back and memory may be incorrect.

  2. I have LR2 and CS4 installed on multiple PCs without issue. All for personal home use of course...

  3. Actual language is here;

    2.4 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the important restrictions set forth in Section 2.5, the

    primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed under Section 2.1 (“Primary User”) may

    install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a

    Computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the portable or home Computer is not

    used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer. You may be required to contact Adobe in

    order to make a second copy.

    You can read it here; http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/pdfs/G...080623_1026.pdf

    You do have to remember to "turn off" the copy in an old machine if you're switching to a new one.

  4. Steve is right... many Adobe licenses explicitly allow a second installation to a portable OR office/home computer, in addition to the primary installation.

    Licenses vary, however, depending on if the version in question is retail, site license, educational, etc., so be sure to check the license to make sure it's ok... not all of them allow it. You may or may not have to check with Adobe, as well. Probably no harm in just trying, and see if it works! (After checking your license, of course)
