Ford Fiesta Movement Challenge

  1. You could win up to $10,000 and a trip to a Hollywood premiere for a 3-5 minute film about adventures in a Ford Fiesta! Use of a Fiesta will be provided to you - as well as $5,000 in funding - for your production if you are chosen. All you have to do is go to filmaka.com/fordfiesta and see if you live in one of 16 US cities chosen to be profiled in a Fiesta adventure film! Then upload your ideas for a Fiesta adventure in your area and a link to a sample of your work. Submissions are due by MARCH 27 - go to filmaka.com for details!

  2. It looks like a rights grab for all entrants, not just the winners:-

"By submitting a Bid and/or a Short Film to the Challenge, you

hereby grant to TDI and Filmaka in perpetuity, exclusive ownership of your Bid and

Short Film which may be exploited in any manner whatsoever, and assign your Bid,

your Short Film, and all ancillary and derivative rights thereto in all media now known or

hereafter devised in any and all languages"

And you waive your moral rights:-

"you hereby irrevocably waive or assign to TDI your

    so-called moral rights"

So you lose the right to be identified as the creator.

And if anything goes wrong, it looks like the liabilty will be yours:-

"Bidder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Filmaka and TDI against any and

all claims of infringement from any third party for any use by Filmaka and/or TDI

of any Bids and Short Films submitted by Bidder"

All this, for the chance to win a prize. Only the winner scoops the cash, but TDA and Filmka get the rights to everything.
