Wakeboarding Shoot - First attempt

3 posts
  1. This weekend I was asked to stand in for a wakeboarding magazine photographer to provide some images for an up and coming local wakeboarder. Lots of fun, despite being beaten to a pulp being dragged around on an inner tube 10 feet in front of the wakeboarder. Still working on my selects, but here are a few shot with the 70-200 from the boat and 16mm on D200 in my surf housing from the tube.

  2. Hi Loftus, you have some nice shots here capturing the action well.

I like your use of shutter speeds to capture the movement of the spray, it makes the image more dynamic. maybe it would have been nice to see the wake a little less burnt out and maybe use some high speed flash to bring out the detail. The second shot shows his face nicely and is probably the pick of the bunch to me :o

  3. Really cool stuff Jeff! I can only imagine what it was like trying to get those close-ups!

    Cheers
