  1. here is a link to my frist experience with a dslr underwater. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47521348@N08/

let me know if there is anything i can do to improve. the picks have been cleaned up and cropped. alot of them are cropped more than i wanted to. it is unreal how close you need to get with the tokina 10-17 on the 10 end. i forgot about zooming in. haha. i still have alot to learn. any and all criticism is welcomed.

all shots taken with canon 7d,aquatica housing with 8 inch dome port and tokina 10-17. the water had lots of particles with 30-35 feet of visability. time of day was 1300-1600.

    thanks

  2. Hi Brian,

Isn't that a blast? ;) You look like you were having fun and off to a good a start. I really like the potential of the big "goldfish" or whatever they are. You should play with that opportunity some more. 683 is cool. 685 would have been killer if you'd have been able to get the lower fish in the frame. My favorite shot is the diver coming towards the camera. Nice light around the face. Not easy to do.

Might play with shooting a higher shutter speed on the sunballs like 1/250 to stop the rays.

    Looking good!

  3. yeah it is! thanks for the comments. the diver that is coming toward the camera is me. haha. i handed the camera to my friend to take a couple pics of me and then i just started swimming toward the camera. it happens to be my favorite one also. thanks for the tip on the sun ball.

i did have that fish in the frame on pic 685. i was trying to parrellel the big fish with the bottom. i uploaded a pic with the small fish not cropped out.

    thanks

Keep up the good work Brian!
