I use B&W dioptres, either +2 or +3. www.schneideroptics.com
Ditto B&W. Nikon are supposed to be best, but impossible to find, out of production.
The best diopters are compound lenses, but try finding them...
... I use B+W, good glass and brass mounts.
However: using a diopter on a wide-angle lens is the same as saying that the lens is in a mis-matched dome - the wrong radius, nodal point alignment, or both. A diopter is, in that case, going to provide limited benefit, at best. What lens and dome are you using?

Thanks a mill guys for the tips,
Tim: to answer your question....
I am proposing to use a sea and sea DX-D200 housing, NX compact dome(acrylic), 40mm extension ring, and sigma 10-20mm lens. In truth, I bought the hosuing/accessories as part of a second hand package- and I know that this rig will suit a nikkon 12-14mm wide angle lens- but I dont have this lens.
Other guys on this forum have being very good and told me I should get away with using the rig for my 10-20mm sigma wide angle- but given my very poor knowledge of nodal points - dome port theory etc etc.- I was just going to 'suck and see' by testing the lens/rig in the water. (I haven't really done this yet). If it was a thing focus wasn't too good over many apertures- I would like the option of looking into a dioptre for the lens to improve things-down the line.
I know a dioptre is not a cure all from reading various members posts- but I feel I am winging it a bit

Single element diopters are actually preferable to multi elment diopters for use with WA lenses behind dome ports. The opposite is true as macro accessories...
