For Cozumel, I used Aldora Divers in Feb and liked it. You can get steel 100's if you ask for them instead of AL80's for no extra charge - if I recall correctly. I was diving nitrox in steel 100's and loving it. They are higher priced than the cattle boat companies but you get something for it. We had 5-6 good quality/skilled divers on a fast boat. We got to sites before the crowds, had longer dives. We were averaging 80 min dives, more or less, while others I talked to were being limited to 50 min dives at a different company. I would use them again and you can walk to their office from the ferry from Playa.
If you use Aldora, you do need to bring some cash for the surface interval. They stop at a shore restaurant for lunch after the first dive so you need some cash or a credit card. Or you can bring your own food if you prefer.
For Cenotes diving around Playa, Dive Aventurous was great in Feb. Below is a link to my report on them. Note I mis-spelled their name in the report.. there is no letter 'd' in their name.
Karen Doody is a member here - going by NCMermaid, runs the dive shop with her hubby and you can PM her on wetpixel for more info. She was great to us.
Check out the pics on last weeks Picture of the Week contest. Karen placed second and mine were 15, 19 of Chac Mool cenote.
Not saying there are not other companies providing good service. Just sharing my experiences there from Feb.

Love the area and go there alot. In Cozumel, Living Underwater is a great operation. A bit more pricey than some places, but very personalized. Fast boat, good crew, and very small groups on the boat. (8 Maximum) Uses low pressure steel tanks, 95s and 120s, so long dives. He is also good for photographers/videographers. I think I have over 100 dives with him at this point. Snacks, water, juice and jackets provided. Check your dates with them though....
Dennis Weeks (Canadian BTW), who is Diablo Divers is very good for the Cenotes. Really knows his stuff and just a generally nice guy. Picks you up, does one dive, gets lunch, then a second one.
Thanks for the help,
I have already been in touch with Karen and now sent emails to the other companies to scope things out. It will be my first dives with the new rig so I will be sure to post some footage and a review.
Cheers,
Kelly
