INON shoe base

  1. I've just received my new Nauticam from Alex along with an INON shoe base to take a focus light. I note that if the 'nail' of the hook plate is correctly orientated the 'jib' of the shoe base points back towards the housing which seems very odd to me...

I've questioned Alex about this as I thought that my shoe base may have been assembled incorrectly. Alex tells me that the 1/2 dozen he has are all like this.

Looking closely at the Shoe Base reveals a screw slot which I am figuring if undone, would allow the hook plate to be reversed and therefore orienate the 'jib' in an out-facing direction. Light pressure from a screwdriver won't shift it. Am I on the right track here...

  2. Also, I want to connect a 1" ball (of the focus light cradle) to the YS mount (of the shoe base) or another YS mount and I can't find an appropriate interface. Any ideas?
