Ox Bel Ha Trailer

  1. The purpose of our visit to the Yuicatan was to document 12 years of exploration, the beauty of the Ox Bel Ha cavesystem, and create a baseline to preserve footage of this still pristine and fragile ecosystem.

Chris and Fred from MCEP organised a 10 day project with the purpose to shoot as much footage as possible in the different locations of the largest underwater cave in the world. They took us to the most remote places and we where able to shoot some breathtaking footage. In total we recorded more then 7 hours of high quality full HD underwater footage.

The final edit will take some time but we have a little trailer available:

  2. Awesome JP! Did you shoot this with the EX-1? If you don't mind me asking what were you using for lights? It looks very well balanced.

    Cheers,

Great trailer and look forward to seeing what you have when you are done with the footage. The Yucatan area is a place I am extremely fond of...

    Hi Steve,

I use a EX1 in a Sealux housing , 2 x 18W hid Halcyon lights on the camera and multiple 50W HID Videolights carried by videosupport divers. It is a lot of hassle and taskload to get all the lighting right, but results are quite promising...

    Best!
