Hi There,
I was lucky enough to make to the Sundive Underwater Photo Comp just held in May at Byron Bay (I wasn't able to be there for the whole week (this work thing just keeps on getting in the way ) but I did managed to get 10 dives in from Saturday through to Tuesday of the competition week. It was a great event and from what I saw everyone had a great time and Julian Rocks turned it on with the best days diving on the Tuesday with 25+m vis 23C and Leopard Sharks more Eagle ray than you could poke a stick at, Shovel-nosed Sharks, and heap of fish of all types .
I managed to score one prize with the best macro in the DSLR category with a photograph of a clingfish on a featherstar.
I also had fun experimenting with off camera strobes, 2 off DS125 with slave triggers in the Cod Hole.
A special thanks to all the sponsers and organisors of this event for making it such a special week.
Matti
