As usual, I'm on the coast prepping for the run. Water is unusually warm being an Indian Ocean El Nino year. But there was already a bit of activity down the coast. The good news is this year there aren't so many boats with the economic downturn and issues with the World Cup. Which is great since it'll be like it was in the early years where 3-4 boats just combing around 100km worth of coast.
The usual ops have all decided to start later this year, which means they miss on the pilot schools which pop up, as well as the red eye and mackerel schools which follow the warmer water. Predators aren't picky and the warmer water usualy means clearer viz. Having sat through 3 El Nino years before, it'll be an interesting year and it just started...
Ouh man... I must admit I'm a bit jealous...
Have a great trip all and I'll be wayting to see the result here ASAP!!!
Cheers
Karel
Oh God, here they go again...
Hey Drew

With all the commercial boats now gone, it's now Earth Touch and myself. Earth Touch has a 3D camera and 3 guys vs me and my skipper... But as the all blacks taught the springboks... It's not all about size!
Met up with Jason yesterday and he's also here for a bit longer... With it'll be a 3some @ sea... Like the good ol' days.
The end of the expedition this year. Video and pictures forthcoming.
