Love the "mood" of the pics (pic #1 may be 1/2 stop underexposed to my personal taste) .... Did you use a snoot ??? Which shutter speed and aperture did you use ??? Did you use a 60mm or 105mm macro lense ???
All the Best and keep going !!!
Francesco
Cool, love the second one, you even caught the catch light in the eye. The important question though is do you like them?
Cheers,
Steve
@frisco: thanks for your comment. true the first one seems a bit dark, gonna try to lighten it up. if you tell me what a snoot is, i can tell you if i used it (sorry, i'm new to photography). is used the nikkor 60mm micro with a inon z240. i was using if i have it right in mind 22f and 240/s in 28m depht.
@steve: glad you like them. to answer the important questions, yes i like them and i'm happy with the results, compared with the ones a made before. but i really have to admit, that all the comments in my other thred helped to get a bit better, so i hope to continue that way. so i really appreciate every single comment, to improve my way of taking pictures and i'm really happy to have found this excellent forum.
a snoot is a plastic or metal "cap" that you fit over your strobe head in order to direct the light cone where you want it (see link http://www.adorama.com/SVFLS110.html - see Keri Wilk article here http://www.divephotoguide.com/underwater-p...ot-photography/ ) .... Did you operate your strobes in TTL or manual ???
All the Best ..... Francesco
Wow... Now we are talking! ![]()
Like the second one also!
Cheers
Karel
hey frisco!
thanks for the information. no i did not "snoot". the strobe was on manual.
thanks scubamoose.
I think the second one is a great shot.
3rd is my favorite. Its very well done.
2nd is close behind the only thing I'm not fond of is that the fishes eyes are completely in the center. That being said all three are great shots
