  1. Anyone have experience with scubasymphony?

They are offering a snoot that has my interest...but only if it really shows up. Its on the front page of wetpixel.

A search here did not provide meaningful results.

  2. Also,

The website CONTACT US page has no email address. Only a phone number and street address, which might be handy if I lived in Malaysia.

    Only 19 left now :)

  7. I can also report a successful order from them to the U.S. Shipping charges were not insignificant, but you have to expect that to get something half way around the world, I reckon.

  8. I just received my pair today. There was a problem with my computer payment and they had to ask me to redo it but otherwise all good.

All looks good, really like the additional colour filters as an option, wasnt expecting that. I do worry a bit about the fastening systems for the extra pieces, could see them going missing pretty easily underwater as theres no positive lock just pressure fit so might add on some kind of extra fastening using something highly sophisticated like gaffa tape.

  9. Hi,

Unless I'm much mistaken, your link takes us to a page of studio snoots!

Is there one there that will fit onto an underwater strobe?

Looking at the ScubaSymphany snoots, they appear to be studio snoots modified slightly with an adapter to fit on strobes. On the one that I saw, intended for a Z240 strobe, it clearly didn't come close to fitting on and was basically one of the cheap studio snoots that you can get on ebay for $10 or so with some velcro tape.

That's what i thought the strobe snoot is made of. They look exactly the same and cost just a few dollars. A friend already bought one to try. It looked sturdy enough. He used a plumbing pipe reducer at the front end and velcro tape at the other. He even made two diameter pipes that slides to adjust the light spot. Works just like a strobe snoot to me. I am very surprised too on how easy it is to source a ready made snoot with the honeycomb block. For a few bucks i will go DIY too. A whole lot of fun trying and not alot to lose. I will report back once I made one. Sorry I am new here and may be this post should be in the DIY section.
