Redang Excursion - Coral Bleaching

1 posts
  1. Hi everyone,

Here are some of the shots from my recent trip to Redang Island, 19-21 June.

I did a total of 6 dives in various dive sites and it's really sad to see that there is quite a lot of coral bleaching going on. I was there last month (May), but did not see any. All of this happened in just a short period of 2 weeks and the water temp was very warm, staying constantly at around 30-31 degree.. This is really a bad sign and I guess Global Warming is effecting the ocean ecosystem already... We might not get to see what we saw today, in the near future... Really sad. v.v
