Hi all. I have old 3.5 Amphibico monitor. As I am planing to buy Gates EX1R housing, I would like to know it that monitor can be used on Gates housing? Are connectors the same? Thank you!

I use an Amphibico monitor with an Amphibico housing. You will likely need to purchase and install the through-the-casing Amphibico connector. I like my HD monitor.

I suggest that you call Pam at Gates and ask how the install could be done and its cost. You will find the Gates service dept to be excellent.

You can use this monitor, however in order to stay within the Gates warranty, the housing MUST go to Gates to have the Amphibico Video Out bulkhead installed.

I used one on my old Gates HC1 housing for years. Worked perfectly every dive. The conversion is easy to do, but I think the older bulkhead plug (at least the type my Gates required) seems to be getting difficult to find.
