I made my first poster today with images from my recent trip to Palau. I have a private practice and wanted to make a large print to hang in my waiting room - so decided to try a poster. And as it turns out...I can follow instructions. Steve Fish's new book has a section on how to make a poster and I used his directions (otherwise I am not sure PS and I would have gotten along for this project).
I would love to get your feedback on it. This was new to me.

very cool, will surely look nice in your practice
Very cool Pam! Some great images. The only thing I might do different is to see how it looks if you keep the borders (distance from the image to the edge) the same for the top and sides.
Have fun,
Steve
Steve - I see what you are mentioing, but I do not know how to change that without starting over. I merged the layer that has all of the pics. If I wanted to change this, how would I go about getting into that layer now? So much to learn in PS nd LR. I have learned alot about layers in the last month or so though.
Thanks - DiverPam
Hi Pam,
If you have already merged the layers, I think I would just put it on the wall and smile when everyone compliments you. I try and remember to save a copy of the file before I flatten everything so I can tweak it later maybe change an image etc.
Looks great,
Steve
Looks great - really interesting way of presenting the pix.

Wonderful collection of photos, and a very cool effect for the finished product. I like it a lot.
Excellent work. Great way of getting your photos to the wall.
Very nicely done Pam, and some great images as well!
Wonderful!
Thanks for the feedback guys and per Steve's suggestion above.....

I think it is a really great idea and it looks great. What size did you make the final poster?

I did one at 10x18 and I would like it bigger, so I am doing another print 22x28.
I like the effect when you see in it print. And it looked good - but small still - on the wall in my office.
