Rockingham Grain Terminal

  1. Tried out a new site yesterday - the Rockingham Grain Terminal - which is about 500m long and is used to load grain for the overseas market. Average depth is between 4 - 6m except at the end where the big boats come in (but you can't dive there as its too dangerous). It turned out to be a rather good and pleasant dive, vis was about 5 -6m and water temp was 15 degrees Celsius :P but we managed a 71 min dive. The only issue was a bit of a surge which made it a bit difficult.

I know these aren't terribly exciting - but I am busy practicing for my up coming trip to Tulamben Bali. Comments welcome.

  2. HI Karl, interesting results, don't see too many shots from around Perth. That last one, looks like a sea apple?

  3. Hi Mike,

Thanks for that :) . Yeah around here they are called 'Sea Apples' or 'Sea Cuecumbers' depending on who you talk to. They come in a variety of colours but not as colourful as the tropical ones.
