  1. anyone tried using one of these attached to a housing? it says that they use a semi permanent 3m glue, will it hold, or just dissolve underwater

  2. interesting idea, i'm sure you could get some glue that would hold UW. I see a couple issues, mainly that its only really useful shooting in liveview mode, which i doubt many people do except for video.

     

    i think you might get lots glare from the housing window over the lcd. often the lcd is recessed far enough into the housing that the reflected image may be quite small too, with brighter glare from the housing back washing it out.

     

    i'd also be worried about rust in the hinge as its likely a non-marine grade metal.

     

    this is all a guess, but by all means give it a go (for only $20) and let us know how it works out! cheers,
