I'm very impressed when people focus on getting a particular critter or behavior. I haven't done much of that, but I *did* recently set out to get these shots:
------
On a recent family vacation in Bonaire, I started paying attention to the numerous jawfish right in front of our place at Eden Beach. On one of our last days there I had a chance to do an afternoon dive and determined to do my best to get photos of one with eggs in the mouth. I had to hang a while at 82 feet before this one ignored my presence, but eventually crept up to about 16 inches with him not minding my bubbles or strobes at all. 105mm Nikon on D300s, f20 at 1/160. Housing control slippage wouldn't let me change f-stop, otherwise I might have shot this at f32 or thereabouts. If had had a few more days there, I believe I would have gotten some photos of one with eggs about to hatch -- but that's for the next trip.
great job. The second one is amazing
Very nice! Have you thought about a portrait crop on the first one?
Fabulous shots. Really like the second one -stands out for me. Great angle and detail throughout.

Beautiful shots! Having spent entire dives looking for those little buggers with eggs in their mouths and others inching forward for 20 minutes to get in range, I can REALLY relate!
BTW, don't feel bad about the f/stop - you likely got a better/sharper photo at f/20 than you would have at f/32 (it is my understanding that quality falls off on most lenses once you get past about f/22).
Great shots, the angle of the second one is terrific..really well done.
Great shots Richard! I especially like the second one.
