important features in a u/w camera ?

  1. wad are the few compact camera or semi pro camera that has the features required

  2. Features required really depend on the type of photography that you take... Care to elaborate a bit? Do you like photographing fish? Coral? Scenics? Do you want a camera that is good both under and above water? Do you photograph in low light? Etc...

  3. thanks , i have seen that site i was thinking G11 or a s90. which is can give me a better shoot underwater , cos sometimes i get blueish photos from my old intova sports 8 which i just lost :D

  5. I'd say the ability to shoot in RAW, manual control over ISO, shutter speed and aperture are the most important features by far.

    Ability to shoot in RAW is essential to me in order to adjust the white balance after the dive. Even a specific underwater white balance mode will not replace manual adjusting.
