missing sync cord cap

5 posts
  1. During my move I misplaced my sync cord cap for the ys110a. I recently changed housing and dont need the nikonos sync cord as I now am shooting F/O.

will it be fine if I jump in the water without the cap?

  2. Hi Derek,

    No! It will flood.

I'm with Adam on this one, water will seep through the pin base through the wiring into the inside, it just can't be done without a cap on.

On the other hand if you have a Nikonos camera lying around (remember those, they where orange, small and had 36 exposure max, no focusing assistance and now make great book end  ), the cap is the same thread so you can use it until you get your original replacement.

    Cheers

  5. You'll be fine diving with no cap.... as long as you don't mind your camera/housing to be turned into a very expensive brick
