Inon D2000 Type 1, 2, 3, 4 - Differences

  1. Hi all,

First post so be kind. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to tell the difference between the four types of Inon D2000 strobes, just by looking at them? Is there a model/serial number variation or something.

I know the later ones (three and four?) have an LED focus light, but is that the only way, and is there a way to be more specific? I'm looking at buying one second hand and the seller doesn't know what type it is.

    Thanks,

    Link.

Hey Link, good to see you on WP!

I know with my Z240's there is a sticker on the strobe itself. It's located at the bottom, next to the optical sensor

and has the strobes serial number, the model, including the type, clearly listed on it.

    Cheers,

    Jim.

  3. Thanks Jim.

I've been 'lurking' here for a while, just never had anything to post that wouldn't embarrass me and my pathetic little camera. Still got SFA budget for this stuff, but maybe, maybe, slowly, slowly. Thinking about a second hand strobe and then a better compact and housing.

    Time will tell.
